- Merger between the arvato companies AZ Direct and BFS finance, and the InFoScore group, the new company is headquartered in Baden-Baden

- Fusion of the already to the AZ Direct-group belonging Swiss directmarketing-specialist SPDS and dm-plus Direktmarketing AG to the AZ Direct AG, Switzerland
- Takeover of the Swiss dm-group from the bwv holding, including the dm-plus Direktmarketing AG, St. Gallen, the dm michelotti AG, Rotkreuz and the dm-plus Direktmarketing GmbH, Vienna Formation of Abacus Deutschland (Düsseldorf), a joint venture between AZ Direct and Doubleclick.
